With this bag you’ll find yourself saying “Hey, my eyes are up here, not on the sexy geometric lines of my bag”. You don’t want a briefcase, you want a piece of art and the Evangeline is THE professional woman’s bag. With the lines and detail of a luxury purse, but the full utility of a briefcase or concourse bag. And because we could, we hid an over-the shoulder strap in the design of the handles - simply unbuckle each side, combine the two - and voila.  You’ll feel just as at home strutting into the office as down the runway. Mostly likely the airport one, although you can dream. This bag is meant to endure years of use, down to the reinforced leather bottom and cast brass feet that protect and support the bag. Some people can be happy with a mass-manufactured leather tote from Madewell, but you deserve better and we design for you.

Description

The Evangeline is the answer to our question “how can we make a bag that fits all the essentials without looking like another boring tote?” But we didn’t stop there. We wanted to gave you more — more play, more sexiness, more function. Because when you leave your house, you shouldn’t feel just functional and good enough. You deserve to look and feel as valuable as you are. And hot as hell. We’ve never created a bag like this before. From the elegance of the shape, to the smart engineering  behind it (technically, four degrees worth) - two way zippers, cast brass feet, and don’t forget the two handles can be un-buckled and recombined to make an over the shoulder strap. It fits the full accoutrement of computer (interior computer pocket, check), charger, water bottle, sweater and some light reading materials. A hidden zippered pocket creates possibilities in the front of the bag while being slim enough to keep everything organized - the Evangeline is that perfect piece of arm candy for wherever you want to take it.

Handcrafted with our full grain cowhide leather in either Kodiak (bordeaux) or Yukon (ochre), regally structured but with a soft, luxurious feel

We are two humans designing and crafting pieces that we are obsessed with - they begin as one of a kind concepts and small details change piece to piece. Our LEATHER is characterized by small differences in dye, aberrations, range markings and varying grain patterns. We ask that you rejoice in the differences found in your specific piece. We built it - we'll fix it. We’re the humans behind your product and we are dedicated to making sure you’re over the moon about your new heritage piece. Your product is intended for a lifetime of use - so please contact us if anything needs repairing or replacing. The best way is to send images and any explanation of the issue to repairs@uphilldesigns.com and we’ll respond with next steps.

leather care

Leather is an amazing material and with proper care our products will last a lifetime. Here’s what we ask. Keep it away from salt water. Buff out scratches with either your hand, or leather oil - this will aid in the rich ‘patina’ that is only possible in full-grain leather. Leather conditioner can treat leather that, after time, has begun to feel dry or brittle. Please test any oil or conditioner on a small, non-visible portion of your product. Oils and conditioners will darken the appearance of your product.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
